The ensemble honors Apollo's gift of music to the world with its name and draw its music and inspiration for its programs from Apollo's overflowing "cabinet".
Mission : Cincinnati's premier professional Baroque ensemble, Apollo's Cabinet specializes in the performance of 17th and 18th century instrumental and vocal chamber music. Whether performing sacred, secular or traditional music, this innovative group brings to light the exquisite music of a musically rich time and breathes new life into its performance before contemporary audiences. Description : Arte dei Suonatori means "the art of consonance" and was the name used by a guild of instrumentalist which existed in Venice between the 14th and 18th centuries, bringing together the city's greatest musicians. Arte dei Suonatori from Poznan, bearing the same name, reflects their attempt to carry on this tradition. The repertoire consists mainly of the instrumental and vocal - instrumental music from 17th and 18th centuries. According to the project which started in October 1998, the ensemble has been performed in Poznan and Wroclaw a series of regular concerts inviting groups of top international performers who in co-operation with Polish musicians prepared and successfully presented a series of most interesting programmes.

These different combinations allow listeners to discover the range, color, and versatility of this beautiful instrument. Through the ensemble's concerts, the audience is acquainted with various flutes from different periods and countries.
